Wildlife / Animal Behaviour Studies – Africa
Harnas Wildlife Foundation is a place in Namibia, Africa, where people fight for the rights of animals.
It was founded by the Van Der Merwe family almost three decades ago. Its a home they have created for all species of animals who have been neglected, abused, injured or abandoned. It is one of the best known and acknowledged Welfare and Rehabilitation Centres of Namibia.
Cheetahs, lions, wild dogs, baboons, leopards, meerkats, vervet monkeys, dogs, cats and many more all take refuge there.
The work they do at the Wildlife Foundation is amazing and I feel lucky to have spent time, working and studying animal behaviour there and to have gained the experiences I now have, experiences I will keep with me for life. It’s a fantastic place to learn about all animals and study their behaviour.
